Site Health and State System

The Site Health and State System is the foundation of EnergyTrak's monitoring logic. This system uses color-coded statuses to provide an immediate visual indication of your equipment's health and operational state. This document provides a comprehensive guide to the system's logic, including detailed tables for both operational equipment (Health and State mapping) and Battery Health status.

⚙️ Generator Status System Overview

The generator status system is composed of two primary factors:

  1. Health: This is the color-coded severity of an issue (e.g., Healthy, Warning, Critical).
  2. State: This is the current operational mode of the component (e.g., Running, Exercising, Standy, Stopped, etc.)

The individual status of each piece of equipment (Generator, Grid, Network) impacts the overall Site Status, which is the top-level indicator shown on the Site Dashboard. For instance, if the Generator enters a 'Fault' state, the Site Status will escalate to 'Critical'.

Breakdown of Generator Health-State Mapping

The table below details how various states of your generator impact its overall health status.

SiteSiteHealthyReadyN/AGrid online and generator in standby; all systems are healthy and ready for grid outage.
ExercisingGrid online and the generator is running (assumed to be performing an exercise test).
RunningGrid offline and the generator is running (assumed to be powering the site).

🔋 Battery Status System Overview

The status mapping for batteries is simpler as it tracks overall health and operational status without a separate state.
